- 2 ribeye, New York strip, or tri-tip steaks (1-inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon each fresh rosemary, thyme, and parsley, finely chopped
Pat the steaks completely dry with paper towels. Rub lightly with olive oil on all sides.
Season both sides of the steaks generously with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place steaks in the basket without touching. Cook for 10-12 minutes for medium, flipping halfway through.
Transfer steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes. While resting, mix butter, garlic, and herbs. Top rested steaks with the garlic herb butter before serving.
Pro Tips: For the best sear, pat your steak completely dry with paper towels before seasoning. Always let your steak rest for 10 minutes after cooking; this is the secret to maximum juiciness.
