- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken is perfect)
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- to taste salt and black pepper
- 1 12-count package King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- 6 slices provolone or cheddar cheese, cut in half
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning or poppy seeds (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
In a bowl, mix shredded chicken and bacon. In another bowl, whisk maple syrup, mayo, Dijon, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over chicken and mix well.
Slice rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom halves in a greased 9x13" dish. Layer with cheese, then the chicken filling. Place top halves of rolls on top.
Brush roll tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with seasoning. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 15 mins. Uncover and bake 5-10 more mins until golden.
Let cool 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
