Equipment

  • Baking Dish Large enough to hold chicken in a single layer.
  • Aluminum Foil For covering the dish during the first part of baking.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 200 g feta cheese, crumbled (about 7 oz)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  • Place chicken breasts in a baking dish in a single layer. Pour the hot honey mixture evenly over the chicken, turning to coat each piece thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken.
  • Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F internal) and feta is golden and bubbly.
  • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Pro Tips: For the most flavorful result, coat the chicken thoroughly in the hot honey sauce before baking. Don't skip covering the dish with foil for the first part of baking – this ensures the chicken stays incredibly juicy. Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking to allow the juices to redistribute. The heat level is easily adjustable – use more or less hot sauce to suit your preference.
