Equipment

  • Toaster or Toaster Oven
  • Cutting Board & Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 whole-grain bagel (or bagel of choice)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (plain, strawberry, or honey)
  • 1/4 cup assorted diced fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, etc.)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional, for kids over 1)

Instructions

  • Lightly toast the bagel if desired. While it toasts, wash and dice your chosen fruits into small pieces.
  • Spread the cream cheese evenly over the toasted bagel. Let your child decorate the top with the diced fruit.
  • Drizzle lightly with honey if using. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Pro Tips: For the best experience, set up a 'decorating station' with bowls of different diced fruits and let your kids create their own masterpieces. To add more protein, mix Greek yogurt into the cream cheese. If you want to prep elements ahead for an easy morning, toast the bagels and dice the fruit the night before, storing them separately in the fridge.
