  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • Additional cinnamon and sugar for topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan.
  • For frosting, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled bars. Slice and serve.
