Equipment

  • Toaster or Oven For cooking the waffles and chicken.

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen, fully cooked chicken fingers
  • 32 frozen mini waffles
  • 1 cup creamy coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
  • for drizzling pure maple syrup
  • 16 toothpicks

Instructions

  • Cook the frozen chicken fingers and mini waffles according to their package directions until hot and crispy.
  • Let chicken cool briefly, then slice each finger crosswise into 3-4 bite-sized pieces. Separate the toasted mini waffles.
  • Place a small spoonful (about 1 tsp) of coleslaw on top of one mini waffle.
  • Place one piece of sliced chicken on top of the coleslaw.
  • Top with a second mini waffle. Secure the stack by pushing a toothpick down through the center.
  • Arrange on a platter. Drizzle lightly with maple syrup just before serving. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pro Tips: To prevent soggy waffles, assemble the sliders right before serving. You can cook all components ahead and keep them warm. If transporting to a party, bring the chicken, waffles, slaw, and syrup separately and assemble on-site for the best texture. For a spicy twist, toss the cooked chicken in hot sauce or buffalo sauce before assembling.
