Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled (optional, for spice)
  • 4-5 ice cubes (optional, for chill)

Instructions

  • Rinse the blueberries thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Drain well.
  • Cut the lemon in half and juice it using a citrus juicer or by hand. You should have about 2-3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Set aside.
  • In a blender, combine the rinsed blueberries, lemon juice, cold water, and honey or maple syrup (if using). If you’re adding ginger, peel and chop it roughly before adding it to the blender.
  • Blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and the blueberries are fully broken down. If you prefer a smoother juice, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or large measuring cup to remove any pulp or seeds.
  • Taste the juice and adjust sweetness or lemon flavor as needed. Add more honey for sweetness or a splash of water if it’s too thick.
  • Pour the juice into glasses filled with ice cubes (if using) and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing Blueberry Lemon Energy Juice!

Notes

Pro Tips: Use ripe, plump blueberries for the sweetest flavor. If you prefer a smoother juice, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp. For an extra chill, add a few ice cubes before blending. Adjust lemon juice to taste—some prefer it tangier, while others like it milder. Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before serving. Variations: Add a handful of spinach for a nutrient boost, or swap blueberries for mixed berries for a different flavor profile.
