Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples (cored and quartered)
  • 1 medium beetroot (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 small lemon (juiced, optional)
  • 1/2 cup cold water (for blending, optional)

Instructions

  • Wash the apples thoroughly under running water. Core the apples and cut them into quarters, leaving the skin on for extra fiber and nutrients.
  • Peel the beetroot using a vegetable peeler. Chop it into small chunks to make it easier to juice or blend.
  • If using ginger, peel a small piece and chop it finely. This will add a warm, spicy note to your juice.
  • Add the apple quarters, chopped beetroot, and ginger (if using) to a juicer. Process according to the manufacturer’s instructions until all the ingredients are fully juiced.
  • If you don’t have a juicer, blend the ingredients with 1/2 cup of cold water until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove the pulp.
  • Pour the juice into a glass. Add the lemon juice (if using) and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust the flavor if needed.
  • Serve the juice immediately over ice for a refreshing drink, or chill it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Pro Tips: Use organic produce when possible to avoid pesticide residue. Chill the apples and beets before juicing for a refreshing, crisp juice. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother texture. Add a squeeze of lemon to enhance the flavor and preserve the color. Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Shake well before serving. Variations: Add a small piece of ginger for a spicy kick or swap apples for pears for a milder taste.
